Noflu Syaw Hadfow (/ˈnoflu/ /sjaw/ [sad] [bias]) is a subtropical Small City located in the Nogrehie̜w Moot of the Rosid.
The name Noflu Syaw Hadfow is derived from the Sylvin language, as Noflu Syaw Hadfow was founded by Averil, who was culturaly Wood Elf.
Climate
Noflu Syaw Hadfow has a yearly average temperature of 10°C (50°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a cold 9°C (48°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 11°C (51°F). Noflu Syaw Hadfow receives an average of 203 cm/y (79 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Noflu Syaw Hadfow covers an area of nearly 13 km2 (5 mi2), and an average elevation of 1946 m (6384 ft) above sea level.
Overview
Noflu Syaw Hadfow was founded durring the early 11th century, by Averil. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Averil.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow was built using the conventions of Wood Elf durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Noflu Syaw Hadfow is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow split-log ties streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Astonishigly, the peasent-grade are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.
A look around Noflu Syaw Hadfow gives you a feeling of distrust and paranoia. Also greed. The locals seem to be very much into scholastic pursuits, based on the hushed, murmured conversations you hear at least. Everyone in Noflu Syaw Hadfow acts like they have discovered something wondrous, and are worried they will endure some horrible fate so another can take what they’ve discovered for themselves.

Noflu Syaw Hadfow has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Noflu Syaw Hadfow's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Small City. Noflu Syaw Hadfow's grid is powered by a direct leyline tap.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. In spite of the Galvanic Grid, these lights continue to use their old fule sources to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Noflu Syaw Hadfow's natural decorations nor waterways.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow has a Guild of Roadworkers, who are responsible for maintaining the roadways and public paths within town. They also have the duty of enforcing all civil laws relating to the roadways.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.
Cultural Notes
Noflu Syaw Hadfow's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
Due to the actions of local Kami, winter is short in Noflu Syaw Hadfow.
The Venomroach near Noflu Syaw Hadfow are known to be almost tame, such that they can be put to domestic use.
Noflu Syaw Hadfow's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Chronomancy energies of tier 2 via singing.
